NOTD essie buy me a cameo

Essie's Buy Me a Cameo is definitely a color I have passed on quite a bit. The color is very unusual but theirs something about it that really caught my attention the last time I was at the store. The color is a gorgeous silvery metallic champagne shade. With one coat it is more on the beige side with a little bit of pinkish tones, but with two coats it does become opaque, and turns into its nice very frosty metallic color with a nice pearl finish. The color to me is more of a summer/spring shade, but could be pulled off this season considering metallics are very trendy right now. I thought it looked to summery so I added two coats of gold glitter by Love and Beauty a Forever 21 Polish. This color does dry pretty fast however the glitter is another story. I feel with that little touch of glitter it really glams it up perfect for the holidays. Reminds me a lot of the Christmas bulbs that you put on your tree. lol don't ask me why. The constancy is pretty average for a Essie polish. The Love and Beauty glitter is a little on the thicker side. It isn't my favorite Essie polish but it is very pretty, and  feminine.

Overall I'm pretty happy with this polish and how fast it dries. I did apply it Sunday, and today it did start to chip at the tips. (lasted longer then the Birchbox strips lol) I think that might have had to do with the top coat I put on it though but who knows.I tried using the Sally Hansen Acrylic base coat as a top coat and don't think it worked all that great. I can see myself wearing this color more in the warmer months, but adding a hint of glitter can really jazz it up a bit.

Any polishes you've been loving?
