Maybelline Stylish Smoke: Emerald Smoke
I rarely ever like color on my eyes. I tend to feel that I look like a clown, and it just doesn't flatter my skin. I came across the Maybelline Stylish Smoke collection a few weeks ago and got some of their brown colors, figures right. Browns, and neutrals look best on me. I was eyeing this palette and thought that it would really accent my green eyes so what the heck.
The final look
I like Maybelline's eye shadows for a few reasons. They never let me down. Maybelline's eye shadows usually are pigmented, long lasting, and very flattering. This emerald smoke quad is gorgeous! It has 4 highly pigmented sheer colors that are very user friendly. Each shadow is labeled, and comes with a little picture on the back of the palette to show where to put each shadow.. Easy huh, well although they have a step by step instruction doesn't necessarily mean that you have to go by it. Make the look your own, and have fun with it.
From right to left: The base color/lid/crease/liner
I used the palette today the way that its labeled. The lightest color is the base color that you apply to your whole eye lid to your brow, and even you inner corner.. You can put a little underneath you bottom lash line but that generally that is your choice. The 2nd color to the left is the color you want to apply to just your lid area. I love this color because its really the perfect shade of green and pops my eyes instantly. The 3rd color from the right is the medium shade of green. This is a very beautiful grassy green, very sheer and I used this in my crease, and my "V" area blended. The last darkest forest green I used for my liner. Since I used this to fill in my liner and today was very hot I skipped the liner and used just this color. I did add it half way from the outer corner to the middle of my pupil on my bottom lash line. Since this is a little bit more of a "colorful" look for me, I used a light natural peachy pink orgasm blush as well as a nude lip "nude attitude" by Revlon to top it off.
