Hellooo Beauties
So I'm sure you all have heard of the new naked basics palette by Urban Decay. I'm totally in love with Urban Decay's eyeshadow's Both the nakeds are amaz & the naked basics is even more amazing. For starters its a mini compact palette with 6 full size shadows so its perfect for traveling or carrying in your purse for touch ups. 5 of the 6 shadows are completely matte YAY! I've been so into matte shades lately that I had to get this considering that both naked and naked2 palettes lacked in having matte shades. Don't get me wrong I love me some shimmery shadows but mattes are just more simple and clean looking plus you can always add a bold lip with a subtle eye I just think that's sooo beautiful and they compliment each other very well. This palette you can easily create a day to night look with.

Each individual shadow is pretty pigmented, blends nicely, isn't to powdery and feels really nice when applied. The one color I had trouble swatching is the second yellow toned color. (I blame my yellow toned skin)Other then that all the shades are great and the quality is perfect.
Now if you have the naked & naked 2 you don't necessarily NEED this, but if your a neutral lover then I suggest that your going to need this because again you do get that option to use some matte shades. If you already have the Lorac pro or matte neutral shades like this then you could probably skip on it. I'm a huge neutral kinda gal if you haven't noticed so this was perfect for my collection. + you can never have enough neutrals right?
Venus is a beautiful shimmery white shade. When applied you can't even notice the sheen to it. This color is perfect under your brow, and in your inner corner of you eye. This color is very similar to booty call in the naked2 palette, also love this all over the lid.
Foxy is in the naked2 palette and this color is a yellow based matte muted lid color. Perfect for those easy every day kind of looks. I prefer the Venus color over this color because I do have a yellow tone to my skin already however its still nice to have.
Wos is a lighter skin toned beige color. Love this for all over the lid as well. this one is a little more subtle then the venus and matte giving you that more naked eye.
Naked 2 is suppose to be more similar to the original naked however I feel like this one is a lot deeper. I love the deep coco taupe color in your crease to blend out all the colors for a nice transition. This ones probably my favorite out of the whole palette. lOVE LOVE LOVE.
Faint is a beautiful espresso color. I love this on the outer corner of my eye. Its not to dark but not to light its the perfect everyday color. I think this ones closest to buck from the original palette but this color is a lot deeper and darker.
Crave FINALLY a matte black. Blackout from the naked 2 does have a teeny bit of a sheen to it nothing crazy but its just formulated differently. This one is perfect outer v color, or to use as a liner I love doing that.
Overall I do think that its a great palette. For the price of 6 full size shadows for only $27 when a individual shadow is around $18 its kinda silly not to get it especially if your looking to get any of these shades. The pigmentation is great and I absolutely love the smooth finish of each shadow not being chalky or powdery. They all blend so nice and it does come in a nice compact case which is great to travel with and would be the perfect little palette for any touch ups or beginners in makeup. I'll more then likely have some face of the days with this palette coming soon.
Hope you all have a great 2013
xoxo
